javascript - Unable to open Modal using JS Function -

what missing here?

check console have java script error 

typeerror: document.getelementbyid(...) null document.getelementbyid('b').value = "test";

chick id=b" missing " attribute in line 

 <input class="form-control" id=b" type="text" />

replace 

 <input class="form-control" id="b" type="text" />
