azure - AzureContinuousDeployment.11.xaml vs TfvcContinuousDeploymentTemplate.12.xaml -


i can't seem find information regarding difference between these 2 build definition templates:

  • azurecontinuousdeployment.11.xaml
  • tfvccontinuousdeploymenttemplate.12.xaml

my guess azurecontinuousdeployment has been replaced tfvccontinuousdeploymenttemplate.

does mean should not use azurecontinuousdeployment? want use because here able set storage account, deployment label , environment (production/staging).

i can't find way set tfvccontinuousdeploymenttemplate.

i releasing azure cloud services (web roles).

  • azurecontinuousdeployment.11.xaml
    • this meant used tfs 2012 build controller.
  • tfvccontinuousdeploymenttemplate.12.xaml
    • this meant used tfs 2013 build controller.

tfvccontinuousdeploymenttemplate replacement azurecontinuousdeployment.

it few additional functionalities, 1 of them new nuget package restore process.

there build system microsoft recommended people move called vnext build out in tfs 2015
