vba - Template Ribbon Bar in Word 2010 and 2013 -


two years ago, client, using word 2010, asked me create template tab ribbon bar containing special buttons linked template's vba.

they moving on word 2013 , want me update template 2013 (i.e. removing compatibility mode adding couple of buttons specialized tab. @ stage have updated template 2013 , not added more buttons ribbon tab. have put updated template in correct folder templates kept in system.

i asked them send me document created in 2010 version of template, opened in 2013 version , found 2 specialized tabs added ribbon bar: 1 2010 version , other 1 2013 version.

can advise me, please, whether stuck 2 specialized tabs whenever open documents created earlier in word 2010 or there can in 2013 version prevent this?

by way, use office custom ui editor xml work.

it not clear xml markup use word 2010 , 2013 templates. different? why need have different custom ui?
