django - Will turning PostgreSQL database into PostGIS spatialy aware project and using it to store all web data? -


i'm starting first website, , first big project , gis @ core. i'm curious how postgis change postgresql database. make database sub-optimal storing everyday website stuff? such user information, messages, comments, callenders...ex. , advantages doing considering i'm going sending geojson requests server?

no, not @ all. adds bunch of new data types, functions, , index classes. can install postgis , notice no difference other data.
