repository - error while running apt-get update probably incorrect release file causing apt-get update to fail -

i've been using elementary os 0.3 freya (64-bit) built on ubuntu 14.04

when tried open software updater showing failed download repository information , when tried run

sudo apt-get update

this prints:

w: failed fetch http://in.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/trusty/release unable find expected entry 'restricted/source/sources' in release file (wrong sources.list entry or malformed file) e: index files failed download. have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

i donno whats problem , cann't find solution while googled it.

from i've read on issue, 1 of repositories has failed. maybe try removing them 1 @ time , see if can find offending one.

edit ppa's , change freya trusty. not sure if ideal solution, fixes it.
