java - Fitnesse: SLiM server died before a connection could be established -


problem description

i think have uncovered bug in fitnesse slim, more after version 20140901.

when starting test in fitnesse following error:

could not complete testing: fitnesse.slim.slimerror: error slim server died before connection established.

my os windows 7 , i'm running fitnesse in java project uses jdk1.7.

problem diagnosis

i have performed diagnosis try figure out reason error.

i cooperating person uses mac(os x yosemite) instead of windows, , not experience error.

when only changing fitnesse version in maven pom have uncovered following:

  1. this problem not occur on version 20140901.
  2. i reported error message on version 20150424 , 20150226.
  3. when using version 20150114 test hangs , never exits.

when debugging error have found following:

  1. the exception thrown on line 92 in slimcommandrunningclient.java
  2. this seems because isdead() method returns true process in slimrunner(commandrunner)
  3. this process implemented java.lang.processimpl windows, while on mac implemented unixprocess
  4. the exitvalue process 1

another peculiar thing found when using remote debug option in fitnesse(?responder=test&remote_debug=true), test works , no errors occur(this works on version 20150114, 20150424 , 20150226).

so, cause error? according diagnosis problem seems occur after version 20140901.
